The Role:
We are seeking time-served Sheet Metal Workers with expertise in aircraft component fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality precision components, working with various metals, and utilizing specialized techniques to shape and form materials to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of aircraft components using specialised techniques such as rubber press forming, shrinking, stretching, and other metal manipulation methods.
- Working with small to medium-sized precision components.
- Operating hand-held and powered tools with precision.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure components meet exact specifications.
- Adhering to internal operating standards and international regulations.
- Maintaining a high standard of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting best practices in the workshop.
- Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adapting to a flexible work schedule during peak production periods.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Preferably in aircraft sheet metal work or a related field but not essential.
- Education: A recognised time-served apprenticeship within an Engineering discipline at NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3, or BTEC national or equivalent qualification.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- A flexible and proactive attitude towards learning new skills.

CNC Miller Setter / Operator (Nights)
Location: Watnall, Nottinghamshire
Shift Pattern: 4 Nights – Monday to Thursday, 17:30 to 03:45
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our milling team. This role focuses on adding value to pre-fabricated sheet metal components using our Mazak and HAAS 3-Axis milling machines.
You will work closely with the Team Leader to determine the most effective machining method, ensuring components are produced to the highest standards.
Position Overview
- Setting and operation of 3-Axis CNC machining centres (Mazak and HAAS)
- Experience with Mazak and/or HAAS controls is preferred
- In-process sample inspection and 100% visual inspection of production output
- Night shift: 4 nights per week, Monday to Thursday, 17:30 – 03:45
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate Mazak and HAAS 3-Axis CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CATIA models, specifications, and work instructions
- Perform tool calibration and use spindle probes
- Carry out deburring and basic finishing of components
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
- Maintain clean and organised workspaces
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Operator
- Familiarity with Mazak and/or HAAS control systems
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and precision machining
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

CNC Press Brake Operator
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working to tight tolerances on precision components and will be familiar with the requirements and quality standards of the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines (Amada and Morgan Rushworth) for precision forming of aerospace components
- Select and install correct tooling based on bend requirements and material specifications
- Adjust machine settings for material type, thickness, and angle to achieve precise results
- Perform in-process inspections using callipers, height gauges, and protractors
- Maintain strict adherence to AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality standards
- Identify and report non-conformances and contribute to root cause analysis when required
- Safely handle and process aerospace materials (e.g., aluminium, titanium, stainless steels)
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine operator-level maintenance
- Work collaboratively with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet delivery and quality targets
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a precision engineering or aerospace environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances
- Familiar with bending principles, material behaviours, and correct tooling setup
- Competent in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Strong focus on quality, detail, and continuous improvement
- Understanding of health & safety procedures and aerospace compliance standards

Heat Treatment Operative
Location: Watnall, Nottinghamshire
Shift: Day Shift (Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 12:30)

We are currently seeking an experienced Heat Treatment Operative to join our team. This role involves working with aluminium sheet metal components, carrying out a variety of thermal processes including Solution Treatment, Annealing, and Precipitation Hardening, in accordance with strict aerospace specifications and quality standards.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out controlled heat treatment processes on a range of aluminium sheet metal components. You will ensure all work is completed to the correct specification, maintaining full compliance with process instructions, traceability requirements, and health & safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Solution Treating, Annealing, and Precipitation Hardening of aluminium components in accordance with controlled procedures
- Load and unload furnaces and quenching equipment, ensuring correct temperature cycles and soak times
- Monitor and record process data and ensure full traceability of all treated components
- Read and interpret technical documentation, process specifications, and treatment schedules
- Carry out hardness checks and visual inspections post-treatment to verify process results
- Liaise with the Quality and Production teams to ensure compliance and resolve any issues
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Complete all relevant paperwork and production records accurately
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, environmental and quality control standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a heat treatment role within the aerospace or precision engineering sector
- Fully conversant with Solution Treatment, Annealing, and Precipitation Hardening of aluminium alloys
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and the effects of heat treatment on material properties
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, process specifications, and work instructions
- Experience with temperature-controlled furnaces and quenching processes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Understanding of traceability and record-keeping requirements in aerospace manufacturing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
